90s Piicasso print - Portrait Of Nusch Éluard 1937

£40.00

Vintage Picasso Portrait Of Nusch Éluard 1937

Nusch Eluard was one of many numerous muses throughout his life, the second wife of the poet and close friend of Picasso, Paul Éluard. T Originally painted in 1937 is a work that captures the beauty and mystery of this inspirational figure of surrealism.

Nusch Éluard was known for her ethereal beauty and frank laughter, which captivated the Malaga-born artist and others such as Man Ray and Dora Maar.

This piece captures Éluard's physical beauty and Picasso plays with light by depicting Nusch's features bathed in two distinct lights: the yellow of day and the blue of night (as per the photo of the original in the last image). The eccentric hairstyle and unconventional hat highlight his artistic sensibility.

This print ha been produced as a blue print and is stamped with:

"PICASSO EN MADRID | Museo Espanol de Arte Contemporameo"

A original piece of late 90s decor in original floating clip frame which were the frames of the moment adding an industrial minimalist look.

Would look striking placed in a statement frame.

An original aged piece. It looks likely the print has been kept in the frame.
