Our studio pottery is mainly sourced in the North of England, which has a rich history of craftsmanship in this field. Art pieces and vessels crafted by potters, artists and artisans both solo ventures and part of a collective, ensuring each item is either a unique piece or developed as limited editions of small batches, sometimes numbered and often with a limited number of pieces produced. Each item is produed with care and attention by a singular artist throughout the development process. This is an area of interest for me having studied pottery for short while.

The love and attention poured into these items make them a sustainable and considered gift. If you're looking for a special one-of-kind gem, then vintage studio pottery ceramics are a brilliant idea for someone with an appreciation of art.

-measures-

approx 10cm x10cm

17cm height

-notes-

this handmade with traces of such

no chips/cracks/crazing

production marks and glaze misses as with some forms of studio pottery

Studio pottery is a movement formed in the early 20th Century as part of a reaction to industrialisation and mass production of everyday objects.

The focus is on handcrafted ceramic art created by individual artists or small groups in their own studios, rather than in factories to create unique pieces of functional and decorative vessels and objects. This emphasis on hand crafting and personal touch, often combining functional design with sculptural form is now ever more popular with vintage piece becoming ever popular again.

We offer a small, curated collection of carefully edited and rare pieces. These make wonderful gifts.
