Mid century G Plan Brandon chest of four drawers in oak with an upper drawer concealed mirror, velvet lined jewellery section and make up compartments, really clever design! Lower three spacious drawers.
Circa 1950s.
Designed with clean lines and a warm golden tone.
This is a thoughtfully crafted design, angular wooden handles and sturdy structure.
A simple boxy utility form and are typical of the practical elegance of post war British furniture design.
Versatile and timeless addition to any interior whether used in a hallway, bedroom or dressing room.
furniture from the 50s and 60s and particularly G-Plan, was better made than most antique and modern furniture and looks stunning in a modern setting.
G-Plan began in 1953 with just one range of furniture, Brandon, designed by Victor Bramwell Wilkins which was finished in light oak, mid oak or dark mahogany. Light oak was the fashionable look in the early 50s, consequently today most surviving Brandon is in light oak.

Sympathetic restoration maintaining some age and depth of colour.
Veneer repairs on the bottom and edges top corner.

Some light dings/ colour variation and scratches commensurate with age.
Insides cleaned and drawers run smoothly.
